מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ"ה ניסן.
ובהיותי היום על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הזכרתי את זוגתו שתליט"א לרפו"ק ולרפו"ש וגם אותו, מתאים לתוכן כתבו.
ויהי רצון, שכיון שנמצאים אנו בחותם וסיום חדש ניסן הוא חדש הגאולה וערב ראש חדש אייר הוא חדש זיו, הרי יהי' כן בענינים הכללים והפרטים גם יחד, ויבשר טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה מתוך מנוחה שמחה וטוב לבב, והרי היפלא ממנו (מהשי"ת) כל דבר, אלא שע"פ הוראת רבותינו נשיאינו יהא נעשה זה בחסד וברחמים, רחמים פשוטים וחסדים גלוים, והרי השנה היא שנת המאתים להסתלקות הילולא של הבעש"ט ז"ל, ושנת השמונים להולדת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בעלמא דין, אשר אין צורך ביאור סגולת ימים שבועות וחדשים ושנה זו, ובלבד שינצלום במילואם, וכפתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, ינצלום ניט אויף פערל גרופען אין זופ, נאר אוף שנירלעך פערל (מרגליות) אויפן האלז.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 25th of Nissan. Today, as I was at the holy Ohel of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim l'chayim zchuso yagen aleinu (may his merit protect us), I mentioned your wife—may she live for long days—for a complete recovery, both physically and spiritually, as well as yourself, in accordance with the content of your letter.
May it be G‑d's will that since we are now at the seal and conclusion of the month of Nissan—the month of geulah (redemption)—and on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Iyar—the month of Ziv (radiance)—so may it be in both general and personal matters together. May you share good news in visible and apparent good, with tranquility, joy, and gladness of heart. Is anything hidden from Him (from Hashem)? Rather, according to the instruction of our Rebbeim Nesi'im, this should be accomplished with kindness and mercy—simple mercy and revealed kindness.
This year marks two hundred years since the passing (yahrtzeit) of the Baal Shem Tov z"l, and eighty years since the birth of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, in this world. There is no need to explain the special quality of these days, weeks, months, and this year—provided they are utilized to their fullest. As my father-in-law, the Rebbe's saying goes: "They should not be used for pearl groups in soup but rather for strings of pearls (gems) around one's neck."
