און צו אייער שרייבען, אז עס מאכט זיך ניט קיינע קונים אויף דעם געשעפט.
אפשר איז א וועג צופארען אויף עטליכע טעג אין מאנטרעאל צו זוכען א ענין של פרנסה, און גלייכצייטיג קען זיך מאכען א קונה אין מאנטרעאל, און לאו דוקא דארט וואו איר זוכט איצט.
און וויבאלד, אז ס'איז דאך, אין אתנו יודע עד מה (מטעם הכמוס), דארפמען זוכען פערשידענע וועגען, און השם יתברך זאל געבען די וועג וועלכע איז בעסער.
ויהי רצון, אזוי ווי מיר קומען דאך איצטער פון די טעג פון חנוכה, וואס די צייט פון דער מצוה, צו אנצינדען די ליכטלעך, איז דאך משתשקע החמה, - ווען עס ווערט טונקעל - און דענסטמאל צינט אן א איד און באלייכט, ניט נאר בא זיך, נאר אויך, על פתח ביתו מבחוץ, - אויף דער טיר וועלכע איז צום דרויסען, אז אויך דארט זאל גרייכען די ליכטיקיט, און ניט אין דער זעלבער מאס שטענדיג גלייך, נאר דוקא אין א אופן פון מוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור, צו-צוגעבען אין ליכטלעך און ליכטיקייט, ביז דער רמב"ן (על התורה בהעלותך) זאגט, בהנוגע צו דעם נס פון חנוכה, נרות חנוכה, הנרות שהם לעולם, וכל הברכות שאינן בטלים לעולם, וואס די ברכות איז דאך געמיינט, די ברכות, פון יברכך ד' וישמרך, וכדרשת רז"ל שיתברכו נכסיך.
זאל אזוי זיין בעגלא דידן אין אייער ענין, און דענסטמאל וועט איר זיין טרוד ניט פון דעם וואס איר שרייבט, ווארום די חז"ל זאגען דאך, גלגל החוזר וכו' און אז ח"ו מ'געפינט זיך גאר אונטען, איז דאס א סימן, אז עס הויבט זיך שוין אן עלי' - דער אויפשטייג - נאר אייער טרדה וועט באשטיין אין דעם, מיט וואס צו בארעכטיגען פאר זיך אליין די קשיות און דעם סגנון פון זיי, חאטש אין ברכת המזון, ודוקא אין דער ערשטער ברכה וועלכע איז דאורייתא, זאגט מען בפירוש, הזן את העולם כולו בטובו בחן ובחסד וברחמים, נאר ווי די וועלט זאגט, הלואי זאל מען שוין האלטען דערביי.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Rosh Chodesh Teves and even more so from the seventh candle with the enclosed pidyon nefesh, which will be read at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal. May Hashem grant you, as you have requested, that you should also share good news in all the matters you wrote about.
Regarding your writing that there are no buyers for your business: perhaps it is worthwhile to travel for a few days to Montreal to seek a livelihood opportunity there. At the same time, you might find a buyer in Montreal—not necessarily where you are currently searching.
And since "none among us knows how things will turn out" (for a hidden reason), one must seek various avenues, and may Hashem grant you the path that is best.
May it be His will—as we have just come from the days of Chanukah, when the time for fulfilling the mitzvah of lighting candles is at sunset—when it becomes dark—and then a Jew lights up not only his own home but also "at the entrance to his house outside," so that even outside reaches light. And not always in equal measure but specifically in a manner of increasing and adding light—mosif v'holech mosif v'or—adding more candles and more brightness. The Ramban (on Behaaloscha) says regarding the miracle of Chanukah: "the Chanukah candles are eternal," and all blessings associated with them are never nullified. These blessings refer to "May Hashem bless you and guard you," as our Sages expound: "your possessions shall be blessed." May this be so for us as well—in your matter—and then you will not be troubled by what you wrote about. For our Sages say: "the wheel turns," etc., and if G‑d forbid one finds oneself very low, it is a sign that an ascent is already beginning—the rising up. Then your only concern will be how to justify for yourself these difficulties and their style—even though in Birkat HaMazon, specifically in its first blessing which is from the Torah itself, we explicitly say: "He nourishes the entire world with His goodness, with grace, kindness, and mercy." As people say: if only we could truly feel this.
