After a longer absence, your letter from Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh has just arrived, in which you write the reason for not writing earlier. However, it is well known from our Torah of life that even an onus (one prevented by circumstances) is not considered as if he did; that is, after all excuses—even to write—one does not come to it. In any case, I am happy that this time you write in a joyful mood, which was brought about by your work. Certainly there are also fruits whose outcome you do not yet know, in which the results of your efforts will be seen.

You write about a maamar from me for the sefer you are preparing for print. In general, writing maamarim is not my practice. Especially due to various preoccupations—unfortunately most are not of the gladdening kind—and unfortunately they do not become fewer; although this is my work, it takes more time than anticipated. Therefore I certainly cannot commit myself with time and especially—as you write that you have sufficient material—the beginning from Pirkei d'Rabbi Eliezer etc., so there is no need to delay the printing. There will be a maamar from me.

I hope that by the time you receive my letter your wife tichyeh feels better and also that you are not worrying about health matters and are doing more in strengthening Judaism. Through this Hashem promises a Jew what he needs for himself and his household sheyichyu, and in essential matters—true nachas—which is Jewish nachas—from children and household sheyichyu.
