ב) שהכתוב מלמדנו שאע"פ שהשבת נקודה, בכ"ז יש חילול אחר חילול כיון שנאמר מחללי' ל' רבים.
להעיר שספי' המל' (שבת) - מורה עלי': אות י' (נקודה כלפי מעלה) ואות ה' (שטח המקבל).

In the Mekhilta (Tisa), this can be explained in two ways: (a) that the verse teaches us that Shabbat is combined with other prohibitions, and not as initially thought; (b) that the verse teaches us that even though Shabbat is a singular point, nevertheless there can be desecration after desecration, since it says 'Mechaleleha' in the plural form.
It is noteworthy that the sefirah of Malchut (Shabbat) indicates elevation: the letter Yud (a point directed upward) and the letter Hei (the area that receives).
