I acknowledge receipt of your note, along with your generous donation — a portion from your possessions and gifts given to the bride and groom. (See Zohar, Part I, 149a.)
May it be G‑d's will that your aforementioned generosity at the beginning of building their home among Israel — an everlasting edifice — will bring expansion and increase in the blessings of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His success in their building of this faithful home. (See the discourse "Mizmor Shir Chanukas HaBayis," by our master the Alter Rebbe, Likkutei Torah Berachah 98d, and in Sefer HaTanya chapter 34.)
And from this broadening of mind may you receive good news regarding both your general matters and your personal matters, with visible and apparent good.
With blessing to share good tidings in all the above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that supporting a bride and groom is spiritually significant and brings blessings to both giver and recipient. Acts of generosity at the start of building a Jewish home lead to expanded blessings in all areas of life.
