In response to your question: you should study (in such a way as to complete them before the wedding) chapters 16–17 of Shaar HaKedushah in Sefer Reishit Chochmah, and the maamar "Lecha Dodi" in Kuntres Drushei Chasuna (by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal).
