Havavac"h iy"a nu"n Rav Pealim HaRav Yeshaya
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from Chol HaMoed Pesach, along with its enclosure, in which you write about what you learned during your time at the Achei Temimim Lubavitch Yeshivah in Worcester, under the leadership of the refined and active Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi Fagelman. You also mention that you are still in correspondence with him. You also write about distributing matzah shemurah to everyone you could.
May it be G‑d's will that you utilize the talents with which you have been endowed and the influence granted to you by Divine Providence for spreading Torah and Judaism among ever-widening circles, especially among the Jewish people serving in the army.
I have already stated elsewhere at greater length that from every matter one can learn a lesson in serving one's Creator—especially from a situation or circumstance in which one has been for several years. In this case: the foundation and existence of an army depend on complete acceptance of authority without raising objections or even asking questions—first and foremost is to fulfill the order completely.
Another point: when one member of the army is weak in this regard, it is not just a private matter for him alone; it affects all his comrades in his unit and thereby also impacts the entire army camp and the defense of the country as a whole.
If this is true regarding orders given by flesh and blood, how much more so regarding the commands of the Supreme Commander of all creation—the King of kings, Hakadosh Baruch Hu—and elaborating further is unnecessary.
Blessings for success in all of the above. The inner point here is to increase your own conduct in a manner of "overflowing so as to cause others to overflow," and nothing stands in the way of willpower.
Blessings for good news.
P.S. Surely you will continue to send what you publish; thank you in advance.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that just as discipline and unity are vital in an army, so too must we accept G‑d's commandments wholeheartedly and recognize our actions' impact on others—especially when using our talents to spread Torah among fellow Jews.
