איך בין געווען צופרידען צו ערהאלטען אייער בריף מיט דער ביישטייערונג פאר מעות חטים, צו העלפען די ארימע מיט זייערע פסח באדערפענישן. און זיכער וועט דער זכות פון דער מצוה אייך אלעמען ביישטיין צו שטייגען אלץ העכער אין אייערע לימודים און אין גוטער אויפפירונג.
געוויס באלאנגט יעדערע פון אייך צו דער קאטעגאריע פון "בן חכם". אזוי ווי עס זיינען דאך דא דריי קלענערע קאטעגאריעס, האף איך אז איר וועט דינען אלעס א לעבעדיגער ביישפיל פאר אידישע קינדער בכלל, און בפרט פאר די מיט וועלכע איר טרעפט זיך, אז זיי זאלען אויך אפהיטן "די עדות און די חוקים און די משפטים וואס דער אויבערשטער האט אנגעזאגט".

I was pleased to receive your letter with the contribution for Maos Chitim, to help the poor with their Pesach needs. Surely the merit of this mitzvah will assist all of you to rise ever higher in your studies and in good conduct.
Certainly each of you belongs to the category of a "wise child." Since there are three lesser categories, I hope that you will all serve as a living example for Jewish children in general, and especially for those with whom you interact, so that they too will observe "the testimonies, statutes, and laws that the Aibershter has commanded."
With blessings for health and success in all the above-mentioned matters and for a kosher and joyous Pesach, in the name of the Rebbe shlita.
