לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מיום 61/21, בו כותב אודות המאורע ל"ע ול"ע שקרה לו.
ויהי רצון אשר מכאן ולהבא אך טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה יבשר בענינים הפרטים וגם הכללים, והרי אצל איש הישראלי הא בהא תליא, וכידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אשר כל יחיד - רבים הוא ויכול לפעול על רבים, ובפרט בהנוגע לכ' שכבר נסה בזה והצליח כפי הידוע לי.
במה ששואל דעתי במיוחד להמאורע האמור שקרה בדרך - ידוע המבואר בכ"מ, אשר הענינים דעולמנו הגשמי משתלשלים מהענינים ברוחניות, וביחוד מהענינים אשר בתורה, וכמובן ג"כ ממאמר רז"ל בראשית רבה בתחלתו, אשר התורה היא פנקסאות ודפתראות שע"פ נבנה כל העולם כולו ועניניו, וכל מאורע גשמי ה"ז רמז ולפעמים עוד יותר מרמז בהנוגע להמצב ברוחניות.
ענין דרך ברוחניות הוא, כמ"ש ושמרו דרך ה' לעשות צדקה ומשפט, ז.א. התורה והמצוה בכלל, וביחוד ענין הצדקה ומשפט, ומבואר בתורת החסידות, קשר שני הענינים שצדקה צריך לעשותה לאחרי המשפט שעושה בהנוגע לעצמו מה שייך ומוכרח לו לצרכיו, שאז מפריש חלק גדול ממנו לצדקה, ועד"ז הוא גם בהנוגע לצדקה רוחנית, בהעריכו מעמדו ומצבו הוא, ואיך שיכול להשפיע על הזולת בסביבתו הקרובה וגם הרחוקה, שאז מפריש חלק גדול מזמנו, מרצו ויכולתו, לצדקה, להשפיע על הרחוקים לקרבם לחיי עוה"ב (שזהו גם לחיי עוה"ז). ובודאי לכ' האריכות בזה אך למותר...
ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל האמור וכן מפרנסה במנוחה ובהרחבה והשי"ת יצליחו.

After the longest pause, your letter from 21/6 was received, in which you write about the unfortunate event that happened to you. May it be G‑d's will that from now on you will only share good news—good that is visible and revealed—in both personal and general matters. For a Jewish person, these are interdependent, as is known from the saying of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe: every individual is a multitude and can influence many. This is especially true for you, since you have already tried this and succeeded as I know.
Regarding your request for my opinion about the aforementioned incident that occurred on the road—it is well known and explained in many places that events in our physical world descend from spiritual matters, especially those found in Torah. This is also evident from our Sages in Bereishis Rabbah at its beginning: Torah is like records and ledgers upon which the entire world and its affairs are built. Every physical event is an allusion—and sometimes more than an allusion—to one's spiritual state.
The concept of 'road' spiritually refers to what is written: "VeShamru Derech Hashem La'asos Tzedakah U'Mishpat" (And they shall keep the way of Hashem to do righteousness and justice), meaning Torah and mitzvah in general—especially charity and justice. Chassidus explains their connection: one should give charity after judging what he needs for himself; then he sets aside a large portion for charity. Similarly with spiritual charity: after evaluating his own standing, he considers how he can influence others—both near and far—dedicating much of his time, desire, and ability to charity by drawing distant people closer to eternal life (which is also life in this world).
Certainly for you this elaboration is unnecessary... May you share only good news in all these matters—including livelihood with peace of mind and abundance—and may Hashem grant you success.
