נעם לי לקבל מכתבו, ותוכנו ע"ד בקור תלמידי ישיבתנו הק' בבית ההבראה בשני ימים של ר"ה, להוציא הנמצאים שם ידי חובתם במצות תקיעת שופר.
וכיון שאמרו חז"ל, שאחד מעניני תקיעת שופר, הוא הכתרת ממה"מ הקב"ה בעולמנו זה הגשמי והחומרי וכל עניניו, הרי השי"ת הוא עצם הטוב ומקור הטוב, ומלכותא דרקיע כעין מלכותא דארעא, שביום הכתרה הנחה עשה למדינות,
תומשך הנחה זו בעניני הטבת בריאות הגוף והטבת בריאות הנשמה, של כל הנמצאים בבית ההבראה בו מכהן בקדש, בתוך כלל ישראל בטוב הנראה והנגלה,
ותכה"י יבשר כת"ר בשו"ט בהנוגע לנכדיו שיחיו אודותם מזכיר במכתבו זה, וכן בהנוגע לכל אנשי המוסד ועניניהם.

I was pleased to receive your letter and its content regarding the visit of our yeshivah students to the convalescent home on both days of Rosh Hashanah, to enable those present there to fulfill their obligation of the mitzvah of shofar blowing.
And since our Sages say that one of the aspects of shofar blowing is the coronation of our King, the Holy One Blessed be He, in our physical and material world and all its matters—and since the Blessed One is the essence of good and the source of good, and "the kingdom above is like the kingdom below," so that on coronation day a decree is made for the provinces—may this decree be drawn down into matters of improved bodily health and improved spiritual health for all those present in the convalescent home where you serve in holiness, among all Israel with visible and revealed good. And may you soon share good news regarding your grandchildren whom you mention in this letter, as well as concerning all members of the institution and their affairs.
