השם יתברך זאל העלפען די שול בארעכטיגען איר נאמען, ניט נאר אין די אינערלעכע אנגעלעגנהייטען ווי עס פאסט זיך פאר א כשר'ע שול און ג-טלעך הויז, נאר, וואס איז אויך ניט ווייניגער וויכטיג, אז די השפעה פון דער שול זאל זיך פילען אויף די מעמבערס און מתפללים ווען זיי גייען אויך ארויס פון שול. און אייגענטלעך איז דאך דער אמת'ער תכלית און כוונה פון א שול אז די דערנעענטערונג וואס א איד פילט צום באשעפער אין דער צייט פון דאווענען און לערנען זאל דורכדרינגען זיין טאג-טעגלעכען לעבען אויך אין דער צייט ווען ער איז באשעפטיגט אין ענינים פון פרנסה אד"ג צ אין אלעס און אומעטום זאל זיך פילען אהבת-תורה ויראת שמים.
און דאס איז אויך די אינערלעכע כוונה פון די ווערטער פון דער תורה וועלכע ווערען געלייענט דעם שבת, ערב דער חנוכת הבית צ על פי ה' יחנו ועל פי ה' יסעו, אז סיי אין דער צייט פון מנוחה און סיי אין דער צייט פון ארומוואנדערען, ווען ער וואנדערט אויך אויס פון שול און געפינט זיך אין וועג צ זאל שטענדיג זיין על פי ה'.
איך האף אז עס זיינען זיכער דא שיעורי-לימוד אין שול, בפרט אויפן געביט פון די טאג-טעגלעכע ענינים וואס יעדער איד דארף זיין באקאנט מיט זיי.
בברכה צו אלע מתפללים און מעמבערס הם ובני ביתם ה' עליהם יחיו.

I was pleased to receive the news that this coming Sunday will be the dedication of your synagogue, Congregation Ahavas Torah. May Hashem help that the synagogue will live up to its name—not only in its internal matters as is fitting for a kosher synagogue and a house of G-d, but also, which is no less important, that the influence of the synagogue should be felt by its members and worshippers even when they leave the synagogue.
In truth, this is actually the real purpose and intent of a synagogue: that the closeness a Jew feels to the Creator during prayer and study should permeate his daily life—even when he is occupied with matters of livelihood and so forth—so that everywhere and at all times there should be a sense of love for Torah and awe of Heaven.
This is also the inner meaning of the words from the Torah portion read this Shabbos, on the eve of your dedication: "By Hashem's word they encamped and by Hashem's word they traveled," meaning both in times of rest and in times of wandering—even when one leaves the synagogue and finds oneself on the road—one should always be guided by Hashem.
I hope there are certainly classes in learning held in your synagogue, especially in those daily matters with which every Jew needs to be familiar.
