Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was pleased to receive the letter in which you write about the above-mentioned gathering and the election of the temporary committee. Surely you immediately set about preparing a program of concrete activities, and most importantly — have already begun these activities. As explained in my letter to Tzeirei Aguch here (a copy is attached), may it be G-d's will that your efforts succeed — to act with vigor and enthusiasm, which are qualities of youth, in strengthening and spreading Judaism in general, and especially in strengthening and spreading Chassidus — its teachings and customs.

It is understood that these words are not directed only at those young in years but at all who are youthful and enthusiastic with a living feeling — a heart awake to Hashem, to mitzvos, and to redemption. Every Jew has this ability; by contemplating, even briefly, our Sages' directive that words of Torah and G-d's command should be new upon you as if you heard them today.

In every matter there is an aspect of G-d's command and His service, as taught: "In all your ways know Him." This is explained at length in Rambam Hilchos Deos and Tur/Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim siman 231. Each person — especially those educated in the Chabad approach to contemplate the inner meaning of every matter — should stand with renewed vitality and strength for action at every moment.

As stated in Mishnah with which the Alter Rebbe begins his Shulchan Aruch: "Be strong like a lion." In greater detail (in Mahadura Tinyana there): "Be bold as a leopard, light as an eagle, swift as a deer, strong as a lion to do your Father's will in heaven," etc., see there.

With blessings for success in your holy work both among those close to you and also among those who are not yet close — work done with broad-mindedness, joy, and gladness of heart; for receiving the Torah — in the words of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe — with joy and inwardness.
