ולהודעתו מיום ההולדת שלו, ובטח ינהג במנהג אנ"ש ביום ההולדת, ויהי רצון שתהי' שנת הצלחה אצלו בענינים הכללים ובענינים הפרטים, אשר הא בהא תליא, ובזה ג"כ - הענין פון פאלגען (כי מהעדר המענה שלו בהנוגע לשאלתי בזה ובפרט בהמשך לשיחתנו כאן כשבקר עם זוגתו תחי' חוששני שעדיין ענין זה דורש מילוי שיפור ושלימות).

I acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 22nd and 23rd of Kislev with their enclosures. Enclosed here is my letter to... sh"y. If further explanation is needed, you will surely find suitable words for this. It is understood that regarding health—these days of Chanukah are about continually increasing in visible and tangible goodness until it is apparent even outwardly. Clearly, this also applies to matters of the Jewish body, which is holy (as explained in Tanya: that in the physical body that appears to fleshly eyes, etc., He chose us from all nations and tongues; especially since true choice applies only to His essence and being, etc.*). One should also progress in this area by continually increasing until reaching eight—which includes the seven days of the cycle and what transcends them—as explained in many places in Chassidus, and as explained by the Maggid that "shemini" (eighth) comes from "shemen" (oil).
Regarding your notification about your birthday: you will surely observe the customs of Anash on your birthday. May it be G‑d's will that this be a year of success for you in both general and personal matters—which are interdependent. In this too—the matter of following (since from your lack of response regarding my question on this matter—especially following our conversation here when you visited with your wife tichyeh—I am concerned that this matter still requires fulfillment, improvement, and completion).
