I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Rosh Chodesh Nissan, the month of miracles and redemption, in which you write about receiving certification for the slaughter of poultry. It is unclear if you mean specifically only poultry; if so, this is not yet a complete matter. Perhaps this is the custom in your place, but it would seem worthwhile to study the full craft even if in the near future you will only be involved with poultry slaughter. Surely this does not entail any particular difficulties.

I was pleased to read in your letter about your visit to the settlement of immigrants from Tripoli. Certainly you will not be satisfied with this alone and will increase your efforts in strengthening Judaism and spreading the wellsprings outward. In addition to being a primary matter in itself, this is a segulah for increased blessings from Hashem in all that a person and his family need. If these words apply to every person, how much more so to temimim and children of temimim who are young—and this is clear.

With blessing for good news in all the above and for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
