עס איז פארשטענדליך, דאס וואס איך האב געבעטען אייך צו לאזן מיר וויסען פון דער בעסערונג, איז דער מיין דערביי געווען, צו אויפמערקזאם מאכען אייך אויף איינצוקוקען זיך ווי השם יתברך פירט זיך מיט אייך בחסד וברחמים, און דורכדעם זאל נאך מער פארשטארקט ווערען דאס גוטע.
און השם יתברך זאל אייך העלפען אז אמווייניגסטען פון איצטער אן און ווייטער, זאלט איר טאן ווי אויבען געזאגט, און בפרט אז מיר גרייטען זיך צו דעם יום טוב פסח, זמן חירותנו.
איר דערמאנט ניט אין אייער בריף, וועגען אא שידוך פאר אייער זון שי' נעם איך אן, אז לויט ווי מיר האבען גערעט, ווערט געטאן אין דעם אויף א פאסענדען אופן, און השם יתברך זאל העלפען מיט הצלחה.

In response to your letter: I am surprised by its content. You yourself write that I asked you to write to me and let me know when things would improve, but you did not do so, and waited until after the improvement when something became stuck again, and only then did you inform me.
It is well known, as explained in the holy books, that when one receives kindness from Hashem Yisbarach (may He be blessed), one must recognize it fully and thank Him appropriately. This gratitude is expressed by increasing in matters of Torah and mitzvos. When one acknowledges the good that Hashem Yisbarach gives, it maintains His blessings, and Hashem Yisbarach adds even more. But if, when good comes, one takes it for granted or even attributes it to one's own cleverness or similar ideas, not only does this not lead to an increase in Torah and mitzvos—sometimes it leads to the opposite, because one feels self-sufficient—then it is no wonder if things become stuck afterward.
It is understandable that my request for you to inform me about the improvement was meant to draw your attention to reflect on how Hashem Yisbarach deals with you with kindness and mercy, so that this good would be further strengthened.
And may Hashem Yisbarach help you that at least from now on you will act as stated above—especially as we prepare for the festival of Pesach, the season of our freedom.
You did not mention in your letter regarding your son’s shidduch; I assume that as we discussed, appropriate steps are being taken in this matter, and may Hashem Yisbarach grant success.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches us to recognize every kindness from Hashem with gratitude expressed through Torah and mitzvos. Taking blessings for granted can interrupt their flow; true acknowledgment brings continued Divine favor.
