Your note with the attachment has reached me, and at an auspicious time I will mention all those you wrote about at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for whatever they need as you wrote.

I was also given your two letters with your essays, and certainly you will continue this good practice. To the extent possible—even regarding past essays—you should strive, especially if it does not involve particular difficulties, to write your essays in a way that they would be suitable for publication in print if it is decided that there is public benefit in doing so.

You surely know the saying we heard from my father-in-law the Rebbe regarding Torah study: 'You tell that you learn Torah—but what has Torah taught you?' Now, in your aforementioned note you add about what you learn with others but not about your own personal Torah study. May it be G‑d's will that this lack is only in writing and reporting but not in actual practice; even then, there must be periodic increases as commanded: "Ma'alin bakodesh" (we ascend in holiness).
