I received the list of names along with the check, and apparently from the amount this is the annual donation and it has been given to the ShP"H fund. May it be G‑d's will that just as this general tzedakah was given, so too every day of the coming year you will fulfill the command of our holy Torah that each and every day one must perform his work in matters of Torah and mitzvos. For a person who has merited to stand among the public as a leader in matters that affect many, Divine Providence has granted him the merit to be active in matters of proper chinuch (education), and there is nothing greater than this—especially in our generation, a generation of orphans. When one truly searches, one finds ways to instill in students and those being educated in general a fear of Heaven, diligence in Torah study, and meticulousness in mitzvah observance. It is understood that to influence others one must possess these qualities oneself to an overflowing degree so as to inspire others in all these matters. This is sufficient.
