The Avrech Menachem Ben Tzion shiyichyeh
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh, the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, with the enclosed pan, as well as your previous letters. Thank you for writing about the Anash gathering; surely you will continue this good practice in the future. May it be G‑d’s will that you will be able to add more good news like this—meaning that both the number of locations for these gatherings and the number of participants will increase, and consequently their quality will also improve. It is well known that in holiness, an increase in quantity ultimately brings an increase in quality. Our era is suited for this even if some are surprised by it; on the contrary, this itself is a sign to continue, and this is clear.
This also answers what you wrote about someone who opposed the matter of spreading Chassidus. The only response should be to add even more energy and strength as needed for spreading the wellsprings until they reach even outside boundaries. Eventually, even those who oppose will be influenced because over time they must do teshuvah for their actions. All those who listen to me and for whom spreading the wellsprings is precious can demonstrate that they pay no attention at all to baseless objections by strengthening and increasing their efforts in spreading Chassidus—not by responding in any other way, which would only distract from the mission. Especially as it is explained that each person has their days measured out for them with a set amount; when one uses this time for other matters, it detracts from fulfilling their own mission—which for Tzeirei Agudas Chabad and Anash in general is spreading Chassidus. Their hearts should confidently trust in the living G‑d, whose wisdom and will is expressed through Toras HaChassidus Daas Elokis—that the heavenly court’s ruling will be fulfilled: In all matters of fear of Heaven, Torah, and mitzvos they will prevail. It is a shame to waste time meant for spreading Chassidus on other matters—this is clear—and you should certainly explain all this also to your friends shiyichyu.
With blessing,
In the name of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita,
Secretary
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that opposition to Hafatzas HaMaayanos should only inspire us to redouble our efforts in spreading Chassidus with joy and confidence. Time should not be wasted on distractions or arguments; focus must remain on positive action.
