Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from the 20th of Tevet, in which you write about your schedule of studying Chassidus and how you are continually increasing in this area. Surely the saying of our Sages will be fulfilled in you: "Whoever increases, they increase for him," and the addition from the Holy One, blessed be He, is much greater than the original. Since, in the words of the holy Zohar (Zohar III 152a), this study is called "Nishmata d'Orayta" (the soul of Torah), and all expressions in our Torah are precise, just as we see below that an increase in the soul adds vitality to all parts of the body, so too it is understood that an increase in Nishmata d'Orayta adds to Gufa d'Orayta (the body of Torah), meaning the revealed part of Torah—so your study there will also have increased success. This should be in the manner described by our Sages: "He merited and turns it to the right" (Yoma 72b; see Rashi there; Shabbat 63a). As is clear from these teachings, there is also added light and vitality in fulfilling mitzvos and beautifying them—adorning oneself before Him with mitzvos—which includes spiritual enhancement as well (see Shabbat 133b: 'Adorn yourself before Him,' etc., and it is written: 'for His sake').
This fits with our Sages' teaching on "And you shall love..."—that Heaven should become beloved through you (and in Sifri there: "Make Him beloved upon all creatures," and see Tanya ch. 32). Certainly, this also influences those around you in all these matters—by being a living example—and may it be G‑d's will that success continue in this as well.
With blessing for good news in all the above.
The pan and also the attached pan were received.
Summary
Increasing one's study of Chassidus brings greater vitality not only to one's own Torah learning and mitzvah observance but also inspires others through personal example. The Rebbe teaches that spiritual growth radiates outward, uplifting both self and community.
