Shalom u'Vrachah!

It has been a long time since I have received any letter from you, although in response to my inquiries I do receive information from time to time about what is happening with you and about your wellbeing. I was pleased to receive regards through Mr. Galin, and certainly you are increasing your strength in your holy work to strengthen and inspire the hearts of those who are broken. As long as we are in a time about which it is said, 'Lo Yechdal Evyon' (the needy will not cease) — including spiritual poverty — from among the land, great is the merit and responsibility of all those who fulfill 'Nason Titen' (you shall surely give) even a hundred times. This itself brings closer the fulfillment of 'Efes Ki Lo Yihyeh Becha Evyon' (there will be no needy among you), which refers to the days of Mashiach; see also the dispute of Shmuel (see Shabbos 151b, Zohar III 125a: that from their side there is truly none lacking, whereas those who taste from the Tree of Life are different).

The yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, is approaching — he gave his life to increase the number of those who taste from the Tree of Life. And "a tzaddik after his passing is found in all worlds even more than during his lifetime."
