In response to your letter from the 23rd of Cheshvan, thank you for the good news that all is well with you and all those with you; may the Creator grant this also in the future, and even more so as Torah commands us to always increase in holiness. It is known from our Sages on the verse 'Maggid Devarav L'Yaakov Chukav U'Mishpatav L'Yisrael' (He tells His words to Yaakov, His statutes and judgments to Israel), that whatever He commands Israel He Himself does as well. Certainly you are also preparing to celebrate the upcoming festivals and days of redemption approaching us for peace, and to use them for strengthening and developing the holy institutions of Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch, according to both the demand and necessity of the time. May it be G‑d's will that this too be with outstanding success. It is known the story of the Mitteler Rebbe, that because of this self-sacrifice—of the Alter Rebbe—for Chassidus, it was decreed in Heaven that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, his followers would always prevail.

P.S. – Certainly as in previous years he will distribute on my behalf Chanukah gelt to suitable students as last year. It is proper that they coordinate among themselves so that the same amount will be distributed in all Oholei Yosef Yitzchak institutions in their country. May it be G‑d's will that this matter also have its full effect regarding Torah observance and Shabbos light.
