... ובאתי בזה רק להוסיף (כי אף שלכאורה פשוט הוא, כנראה שעד עתה לא נעשה כזה בפועל, והוא) סיפור חז"ל אשר רב אשי, אף שהי' בעצמו ראש ישיבה גדול וסידר כל פסקי תורה שבעל פה וגם הי' עשיר, שזהו מרחיב דעתו של אדם, בכל זה כשהיתה באה שאלה לפניו, הי' מקבץ את כל הקצבים ושואל דעתם בזה, שמזה מובן שמי שחסרה לו עכ"פ אחת ממעלות רב אשי מכש"כ וק"ו שצריך להתייעץ עם אלו שיש להם ידיעה בשטח הנדון, ומכש"כ וק"ו אם אין הם קצבים אלא אנשים שבערכו, והנמשל מובן, ודברים אלו הם לא רק בנוגע לשאלת... דעתה, אלא גם בשאר השאלות העכשויות ושלעתיד.
במ"ש אודות נסיעת האברכים פב"פ לכאן לביקור - הנה באם שואלים הנ"ל הסכמתי וחוות דעתי, הרי כיון שזהו לביקור ה"ז תלוי בעיקר בשתי נקודות, א) באם לא יהי' עי"ז היזק בבתי ספר בם נמצאים הנ"ל. ב) אם תהי' תועלת לעוד מביקורם כאן, זאת אומרת שבחזירתם, ומה טוב גם בדרכם, יהי' ניכר רושמי הביקור בהסביבה בתוספת בפעולות חב"ד בכלל ובהפצת המעינות כפשוטה, היינו חזרת דא"ח והתועדות חסידותית וכיו"ב, ובהתאם לזה עליהם להחליט על אתר בידעם המדוברים וכו'.
ולהודיע הסכמתי למי שנצרך.

... I am writing only to add (because even though it seems obvious, apparently until now this has not been done in practice, and that is) the story from our Sages about Rav Ashi. Even though he himself was a great Rosh Yeshiva and arranged all the rulings of the Oral Torah and was also wealthy—which broadens a person's mind—nevertheless, when a question came before him, he would gather all the butchers and ask their opinion on it. From this we understand that someone who lacks at least one of Rav Ashi's qualities should certainly and all the more so consult with those who have knowledge in the relevant area. And certainly and all the more so if they are not butchers but people on his level. The lesson is clear, and these words apply not only regarding the question at hand but also to other current and future questions.
Regarding what you wrote about Avrechim traveling here for a visit—if those mentioned above ask my agreement and opinion, since this is for a visit it mainly depends on two points: a) That there will be no harm caused thereby to the schools in which they are currently enrolled; b) That there will be benefit from their visit here—in other words, that upon their return (and even better if already on their way), there will be visible effects of the visit in their environment through increased Chabad activities in general and spreading the wellsprings in particular—that is, repeating Chassidus teachings, holding Chassidic gatherings, etc. Based on this they should decide immediately together with those involved, etc. And inform my agreement to whoever needs it.
