במענה על מכתבו מכ"ז תמוז, בו מודיע שנבחר להצטרף להשלוחים שליט"א ב"כ אנ"ש ובאי כח בעלייתם לאה"ק ת"ו למשך איזה שבועות.
ובודאי למותר לעוררו על גודל הזכות וביחד עם זה גודל האחריות שהוטלה עליו ע"י בחירה זו, שצריך כ"א מהשלוחים לשמש דוגמא חי' - בהנהגתו ובכל עניניו - לשליח אנ"ש שי', אבל לפום גמלא שיחנא, ובודאי ניתנים מראש הכחות למלאות דרישות אלו ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצונו, ויה"ר שירצה ויצליח ככל הדרוש.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 27th of Tammuz, in which you inform me that you have been chosen to join the shluchim, may they live and be well, as a representative of Anash and their delegates in their ascent to Eretz HaKodesh, may it be rebuilt and established, for several weeks.
Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you of the great merit—and at the same time the great responsibility—that has been placed upon you by this selection. Each of the shluchim must serve as a living example—in his conduct and in all his matters—of a shliach of Anash. But "Lefum gamla shechana" (according to the camel is its load), and surely from the outset one is given the strength to fulfill these demands; it depends only on his will. May it be His will that you desire and succeed in all that is required.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that being chosen as a shliach brings both great merit and responsibility. One must strive to be a living example in all actions, trusting that G‑d grants the strength needed for success when one truly desires it.
