במענה על מכתבו מכ"ט סיון, נעם לי לקרות בו שהרבה בזמן האחרון בשיעוריו בדא"ח ובודאי לא יסתפק גם בזה כידועה הוראת תוה"ק תורת חיים שצריך לילך מחיל אל חיל והרי זהו תכלית ירידת הנשמה מאיגרא רמה לבירא עמיקתא בכדי שמבחי' עומד שבה עמדה קודם ירידתה תתעלה לבחי' מהלך, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצון איש הישראלי, כי היכולת בזה ניתנה לכאו"א, וכבר ידוע ושכרו מבואר בכ"מ ומהם בדרז"ל על הכתוב אם בחקותי תלכו ופירשו רז"ל שתהיו עמלים בתורה ונתתי וגו' וכל הברכות המפורשות בפרשה.
בברכה לבשו"ט בכל האמור וע"ד אביו שי', וכן בהנוגע לההחלטות הטובות בימי הגאולה י"ב וי"ג תמוז הבע"ל וקיומם בחיי היום יומי.

In response to your letter from the 29th of Sivan, I was pleased to read that you have recently increased your lessons in Chassidus. Certainly, you will not be satisfied with this alone, as is well known from the teaching of our holy Torah, a Torah of life, that one must go from strength to strength. This is the ultimate purpose of the soul's descent from a lofty height to a deep pit: so that from its previous state of 'standing' before its descent, it will be elevated to a state of 'progressing.' This depends only on the will of every Jew, for everyone has been given this ability. It is already well known and its reward is explained in many places, among them in our Sages' commentary on the verse 'Im Bechukosai Teileichu' (If you walk in My statutes), which they interpret as 'that you should labor in Torah,' and then 'I will give...' and all the blessings specified in the portion.
Blessings for good news in all the above and regarding your father as well; likewise concerning fulfilling good resolutions during the upcoming days of redemption—12th and 13th of Tammuz—and their implementation in daily life.
