במענה על מכתבו מי"ד סיון... מ"ש של"ג בעומר וחה"ש עבר באופן של בדידות, תמוה הדבר, שהרי כ"פ עוררתי על הנמצא בדברי נשיאינו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע ובכמה משיחותיהם, אשר כאו"א מאתנו במקומו עליו להביט על עצמו כשליח לא רק בהנוגע למצוה מיוחדה ולזמן מיוחד ואפילו לא רק לעניני תורת החסידות והדרכותי', אלא שבכל עניני היהדות שיכול לפעול על זה - ה"ה הממונה בפועל - בדרכי נועם ושלום על זה במקום פלוני ובזמן פלוני, ולפום גמלא שיחנא, וכיון שנמצא בצפרו משך כמה חדשים ושנים, האומנם אפשר לומר שאין בין כל התושבים בע"ב ועאכו"כ מהמשרתים בקדש המוכשרים לקבל א חסידישן ווארט, ועוד יותר מפתגם - חסידישע הדרכה, ובודאי גם בזה למותר האריכות.

In response to your letter from the 14th of Sivan...
You wrote that Lag BaOmer and the holiday of Shavuos passed in loneliness. This is surprising, for I have often emphasized what is found in the words of our holy leaders, may their memory be a blessing for life in the World to Come, and in many of their talks: that each one of us, wherever we are, must see ourselves as a messenger—not only regarding a specific mitzvah or time, and not even only regarding matters of Chassidus and its guidance—but in all matters of Judaism where one can have an influence. In these things, he is truly appointed to act—in ways of pleasantness and peace—at this particular place and time. "Lefum gamla shichna" (according to the camel is its load). Since you have been in Tzafro for several months and years, is it really possible to say that among all the residents—especially those who serve in holiness—there is no one fit to receive a chassidic word? And even more so—a chassidic directive? Surely there is no need to elaborate further on this.
