I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Erev Rosh Chodesh of the third month, and at an auspicious time I will mention you at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal.

Regarding what you wrote about forgiveness—it is understood that this does not apply in our situation, for there is no issue of resentment G‑d forbid or a need to ask forgiveness. Rather, it pertains only to matters of spreading the wellsprings outward. Therefore, the teaching of our Sages applies here as brought in Igeres HaTeshuvah by Rabbeinu HaZaken at the end of chapter 9: 'He was accustomed to read one page; let him read two pages,' etc. In such matters my strong hope is that you will double your efforts in spreading the wellsprings and within the framework of Tzeirei Agudas Chassidei Chabad doubly so. As explained in Chassidus on the concept of 'double for your trouble,' this means beyond all measure—and when you desire it you will succeed both personally and in your activities.

May it be G‑d's will that I soon hear good news about all this promptly and in great measure according to what is required at this time...

Regarding your notification about your birthday—may it be His will that this year be one of success for you in all mentioned above and generally to see good fruit from your efforts as stated above and from our efforts—these children—to see much chassidic nachas from them together with your wife.
