Shalom u'Vrachah!

Regarding what you wrote about conduct in marriage to a Kohen's daughter—it is as explained in the tzt"z responsa Even HaEzer section 11: one should be proficient in some tractate (at least from the smaller tractates) and knowledgeable in the topics (not necessarily the actual halachos). Whoever adds to this is granted additional merit from Heaven.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that when marrying a Kohen's daughter, one should strive for proficiency in Torah study, especially certain tractates and topics, as this brings added merit from Heaven. Extra effort in learning is always rewarded with greater blessing.
