מאשר אני קבלת מכתבו מג' ניסן מבשר טוב אשר נכדו יעקב שליט"א יגיע לגיל עול מצות בשביעי של פסח הבע"ל, ויהי רצון מהשי"ת אשר כדבר משנה הנה מבן י"ג למצות יגיע לבן ט"ו לגמרא כו' ויגדלוהו הוריו שיחיו לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים, וכידוע פירוש רז"ל עה"כ חנוך לנער ע"פ דרכו, משיתסר וכו' ועד עשרים וארבעה יד ההורים על בנם[2] (וצע"ק בפסק רבנו הזקן בהלכות ת"ת שלו פרק א' סוף סעיף וא"ו, דלכאורה ארכבי אתרי רכשי מבן ט"ז עד כ"ד), וכת"ר ירווה ממנו ומכל יו"ח שיחיו רוב נחת אמיתי הוא נחת חסידותי לאורך ימים ושנים טובות.
ויחוגו את חג המצות הבע"ל בכשרות ובשמחה.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 3rd of Nissan with the good news that your grandson Yaakov, may he live and be well, will reach the age of mitzvah-obligation on the seventh day of Pesach, G‑d willing. May it be the will of Hashem that, as stated in Mishnah, from age thirteen one is obligated in mitzvos and by fifteen in Gemara, etc., and may his parents raise him to Torah, to marriage, and to good deeds. As is known from our Sages' explanation on the verse 'Chanoch la'na'ar al pi darko' (Educate a child according to his way), from age sixteen until twenty-four the parents' hand is upon their son (see also the ruling of Rabbeinu HaZaken in his Hilchos Talmud Torah chapter 1 end of section vav; seemingly there are two opinions regarding ages sixteen to twenty-four). May your honor derive much true nachas—specifically chassidic nachas—from him and all your descendants for many long and good years.
May you celebrate the upcoming festival of Pesach in kashrus and joy.
