I was pleased to read in your letter that there are regular classes in the study of Sefer HaTanya once a week, and that the participants show great interest in understanding it. However, it is clear that one class per week is not nearly enough. At the very least, as our Sages teach, no three days should go by without (the light of) Torah—specifically the inner dimension of Torah called in the holy Zohar "Nishmata d'Orayta" (the soul of Torah), which in our generation is the teachings of Chasidus. Nothing stands in the way of willpower; and if this applies outside Eretz Yisrael, how much more so in the Land where "the eyes of Hashem your G‑d are upon it from the beginning of the year to its end." Certainly, for you this lengthy explanation is unnecessary; I write only to fulfill our Sages' teaching: "We urge only those who are already eager," and this is needed only for extra encouragement as above. May it be G‑d's will that you succeed in raising students who are G‑d-fearing, study Torah with purity, and observe mitzvos with beauty.
