Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to his note: Although in general self-reflection is correct and even necessary, it should only be done occasionally and not at every moment, as explained elsewhere. Therefore, contemplating one's situation repeatedly seems to distract him from study appropriate to the yeshivah schedule and also from other matters relating to mental and physical health. He should be joyful and study according to the yeshivah schedule. In his free time he should also engage in influencing others, but this too must be done with joy. It is obvious that he must follow the instructions of his attending doctors. May Hashem grant him success in all the above and may he share good news.
Summary
Self-reflection is important but should be practiced in moderation; maintaining joy and following medical guidance are essential for spiritual growth and well-being.
