הנה כתבתי לכו"כ בכגון דא, אשר מלתם אמורה בהוראת רז"ל, לא יגעת ומצאת אל תאמין, יגעת ולא מצאת אל תאמין ונוסף על זה הבטיחו רז"ל אדם מקדש עצמו מעט מלמטה מקדשין אותו הרבה מלמעלה.
כבקשתו יזכירוהו וכן את אחותו ... תחי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וככל שיוסיף הוא בתורה ומצות יתוסף גם כן בברכת השם יתברך בכל האמור.

In response to your letter and pidyon nefesh, in which you write about a desire for enthusiasm in studying our holy Torah, the Torah of life. I have written to several people in similar situations that the matter is addressed by our sages: 'Lo yagata u'matzata al ta'amin (If you did not toil and found, do not believe), yagata v'lo matzata al ta'amin (If you toiled and did not find, do not believe).' Additionally, our sages say: 'A person sanctifies himself a little below; he is sanctified greatly from above.'
As you requested, you and also your sister ... may she live, will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzukal lehavdil ben chayim mezal ziya. And as you increase in Torah and mitzvos, so too will the blessing of Hashem increase in all the aforementioned matters.
