...לפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר אם השתתף בהתועדות יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, החג אשר פדה בשלום נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו, כי לא רק רבנו הזקן יצא לגאולה ופדה בשלום נפשו, אלא תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי', ובמילא פעולתה בכל אישי קומת עם ישראל התחילה בתוספת אומץ, וכבר ידוע הדוגמא אשר הוספת אור כח וחיות באחד מאברי הקומה מוסיפה ג"כ חיות בכל שאר האברים, והרי כל בני ישראל יחד מראשיכם שבטיכם עד שואב מימיך קומה אחת הם, וק"ל.

It is surprising that you do not mention whether you participated in the farbrengen of the bright day of Yud-Tes Kislev, the festival on which our soul was redeemed in peace and light and vitality were given to our souls. For not only did our master the Alter Rebbe go out to redemption and his soul was redeemed in peace, but also the teachings of Chassidut—its guidance and customs—and therefore its influence on every individual within the stature of the Jewish people began with increased strength. It is already known from example that an increase in light, strength, and vitality in one limb adds vitality to all other limbs as well; and behold, all Jews together—from your heads, your tribes, to your water-drawer—are one stature. That is sufficient explanation.
