בעת ההתועדות דיום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, החג אשר פדה בשלום נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו (לשון אגרת כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע הידוע), מסרו לי הידיעה אודות המאורע ל"ע ול"ע, עמו ועם זוגתו שיחיו. וכיון שנמסר הדבר בעת רצון, ובמכש"כ וק"ו מפתגם רבנו הזקן מה ששמע מרבותיו "כי אילו נמצא מלאך אחד עומד במעמד עשרה מישראל ביחד אף שאינם מדברים בדברי תורה כו'" (אגה"ק סי' כ"ג), עאכו"כ במעמד עשיריות מישראל העומדים בהתעוררות שמחה דנשיא ישראל, מובטחני אשר ילך מצבם הלוך וטוב, במהירות, וע"ד המבואר בלקו"ת ס"פ קרח, בענין עד מהרה ירוץ דברו.
ובודאי לא יוגרע ח"ו במדת הבטחון שלו, שזהו הכלי לקבלת הצלחה מופלגה מלמעלה, ואקוה לקבל ממנו בשורה טובה בקרוב בזה, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו ערב ימי חנוכה אשר דינם שמוסיף והולך ומעלה בקדש ואפילו מבחוץ, וביחוד ע"י הפצת המעיינות חוצה עד אשר לילה כיום יאיר בביאת משיח צדקנו בב"א.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
At the farbrengen on the bright day of Yud Tes Kislev, the festival which redeemed our soul in peace and gave us light and vitality for our soul (in the words of the well-known letter from the Rebbe Rashab), I was informed about the unfortunate event concerning him and his wife. Since this was conveyed at an auspicious time—and all the more so based on the saying of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe as heard from his teachers: "If even a single angel were to stand among ten Jews gathered together—even if they are not speaking words of Torah..." (Iggeres HaKodesh ch. 23)—how much more so when there are many groups of Jews gathered in joyful awakening for the Nasi Yisrael—I am confident that their situation will continue to improve rapidly, as explained in Likkutei Torah at the end of Parshas Korach regarding 'Ad Meheira Yarutz Devaro' (that His word will run swiftly).
Certainly his trust will not be diminished G‑d forbid; this is the vessel for receiving abundant success from Above. I hope to receive good news from him soon about this matter—especially as we are on the eve of Hanukkah, whose law is to continually increase and ascend in holiness—even from outside influences—and especially through spreading the wellsprings outward until 'the night will shine like day' with the coming of our righteous Moshiach speedily in our days.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that receiving news during a spiritually elevated time brings confidence for improvement. Strengthening trust in G‑d and increasing light—especially during Hanukkah—are key vessels for blessing and positive change.
