במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב אודות הסברא שיסע ללמוד לכאן, ושואל חוות דעתי בזה.
ולדעתי הנה אם רצונו באמת ללמוד בישיבה חסידותית - אזי לכל לראש ילמוד בישיבת תומכי תמימים בלוד, ולכל הפחות במשך שנה, ורק אחר כך להעמיד על סדר היום את השאלה אודות נסיעה להישיבה בכאן. ובכל אופן מובן, שבאיזה ישיבה שילמוד חובתו וזכותו ללמוד שיעורים קבועים, קבועים בזמן וקבועים בנפש, בכל יום ויום בתורת דברי אלקים חיים זוהי תורת החסידות ולהתנהג בהדרכותי' ומנהגי', ולהשפיע גם על הזולת בזה, שנוסף על גודל ענין זה מצד עצמו, הרי הוא גם נוגע להצלחתו ועלייתו הוא בדרכי החסידות, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בכל זה.
בודאי השתתף בהתועדות יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, החג אשר פדה בשלום נפשנו ואור וחיות נפשנו ניתן לנו, והביא זה להוספה בעניניו בהנוגע להחסידות ודרכי החסידות.

In response to your letter, in which you write about your reasoning to travel here to study, and you ask my opinion on this matter.
In my opinion, if you truly wish to study in a Chassidic yeshivah—then first and foremost you should study at the Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Lod, for at least a year, and only afterwards should you consider the question of traveling to the yeshivah here.
In any case, it is understood that whichever yeshivah you attend, it is your duty and privilege to learn fixed lessons—fixed in time and fixed in soul—every single day in the teachings of Toras Chassidus (the teachings of the living G‑d), and to conduct yourself according to its guidance and customs. You should also influence others in this regard. Beyond the greatness of this matter itself, it also directly affects your own success and advancement on the path of Chassidus. Nothing stands before true willpower; may Hashem grant you success to share good news about all this.
Certainly you participated in the farbrengen of the bright day of Yud-Tes Kislev, the festival that redeemed our soul in peace and gave us light and vitality for our souls. This should bring an increase in your involvement with Chassidus and its ways.
