Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was pleased to receive your letter from Erev Shabbat and to read in it that your prayer as chazan during the auspicious days of Tishrei flowed smoothly from your mouth. This is a good sign that it is accepted, as ruled in our holy Torah (see Berachot 5:5), and may all matters of Tishrei be drawn down for all those who prayed, and furthermore, this affects all of Israel, as our Sages say: 'All Israel are guarantors for one another.'

And since the bright day and day of redemption, Yud Tes Kislev, is approaching—the day that redeemed our soul in peace and gave us light and vitality for our soul—and it is also the Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus which was bequeathed to us by Admor Hazaken zatzal nevigam zichro yagen aleinu, which is also the Torah of the Baal Shem Tov—may it be G‑d's will that also in this matter it will be as mentioned above. In the words of my revered father-in-law, for a good year in learning Chassidus and following its ways, and may this general influence extend over the entire year (see the wording of my revered father-in-law's father in his well-known letter, quoted at the beginning of Hayom Yom and in the introduction to Kuntres U'Maayan).
