מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מועש"ק, בו כותב אודות התחלת תו"ת והלימודים במחנו הט', ויה"ר שיצליחו בענין זה ועי"ז גם בהפצת המעיינות חוצה שהוא מענינים דיומיא אילין, וזכות כל המתעסקים בכגון דא אין די באר.
ומזה מובן ג"כ אשר סיום מכתבו שמה שכתבתי אודות פב"פ שילמוד תורת חב"ד מקוה הוא למסור לו זה לאחר שיבוא מבית החולים, אין נראה בעיני: א) ענין של רפואה צריך להקדים להשתמש בו בכדי למהר הרפואה. ב) ענין של ת"ת בכלל הרי כל יומא ויומא הוא דבר האבוד, כיון שת"ת אין לה תשלומין כי כל רגע ורגע דיו שיפקיע את עצמו. ג) ידוע ורואים גם במוחש דיומא קגרים ומגלגלין זכות ליום זכאי, ולכן בימי כסלו, ובפרט בימים הקרובים דיו"ד וי"ט כסלו, ההצלחה בהפצת המעינות היא גדולה יותר.
בהמשך לזה תמהתי ג"כ קצת בנוסח כתבו בהנוגע לזוגתו הרבנית תחי' שהיא "מבטיחה לעזור בעזה"י" - נוסח פושר וביותר, ובפרט כשמביאין בחשבון צור מחצבתה, ההשפעה שהיתה צריכה לקבל (ובטח גם קבלה) מבעלה חניך תומכי תמימים בענינים אלו וכו' וכו'. אבל כיון שארז"ל לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה הרי רצוני לקוות שכל הנ"ל לא ימנע כלל בהמעשה בפועל שיעשה ככל הדרוש להעשות בכדי למעט המניעות ההעלמות וההסתרים.
בודאי ינצלו יום הי"ט כסלו ונר חמישי דחנוכה במיוחד, והשי"ת יצליחם.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Erev Shabbos Kodesh, in which you write about the beginning of Tomchei Temimim and studies at Machaneh HaTeshi'i. May it be His will that you succeed in this matter and thereby also in spreading the wellsprings outward, which is among the matters of these days. The merit of all those involved in such things cannot be adequately described.
From this it is also understood regarding the end of your letter: what you wrote about P.V.P.—that he should study Toras Chabad—and you hope to convey this to him after he returns from the hospital, does not seem correct to me: a) A matter of healing should be used as soon as possible in order to hasten recovery. b) In general, Torah study is something that every single day is irreplaceable, since Torah study has no compensation; every moment is precious and should not be wasted. c) It is known and seen tangibly that "the day brings about its own merit," and therefore in the days of Kislev—especially the approaching days of Yud and Yud-Tes Kislev—the success in spreading the wellsprings is even greater.
In continuation to this, I was also somewhat surprised by your wording regarding your wife, the Rebbetzin—"she promises to help with G‑d's help"—which is a rather lukewarm expression, especially considering her background and the influence she should have received (and certainly did receive) from her husband, a graduate of Tomchei Temimim, in these matters. But since our Sages said "not study but action is primary," I hope that all of the above will not prevent actual deed—that everything necessary will be done to minimize obstacles and concealments.
Certainly you will make use of Yud-Tes Kislev and the fifth candle of Chanukah especially, and may Hashem grant you success.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Torah study—especially Chasidus—should never be delayed for any reason. Immediate action brings blessing and spiritual success, particularly during auspicious times like Yud-Tes Kislev and Chanukah.
