לפלא שזה זמן רב ביותר שאין מהם כל ידיעות לא רק ידיעות מפורטות אלא גם ידיעות בכלל, והתמי' מתגדלת עוד עי"ז שדוקא בתקופת תשרי שהוא חדש הכללי של כל השנה ומושבע בכל טוב ובתכלית להמשיך טוב זה על כל השנה, הנה דוקא אז נקטו בשתיקה, ויה"ר שלא יהי' זה אלא חסרון בכתיבה לחוד, והלואי שלא הי' חסרון בפועל בפעולות מתאימות במשך הימים דחדש השביעי ושלפניו ושלאחריו.

The wonder increases since specifically during the period of Tishrei, which is the general month for the whole year and is filled with every good thing to draw down goodness for the entire year, it was precisely then that you chose silence. May it be G‑d's will that this is only a deficiency in writing alone, and hopefully there was no lack in actual activities during the days of the seventh month and those before and after it.
