בודאי השתתף בהתועדות אנ"ש[6] בימי הרצון והשמחה דחדש תשרי חדש הכללי של כל השנה חדש המושבע בכל טוב.

Your letter of Erev Chag HaSukkos was received, in which you recount תהלות ה', "the praises of G‑d" (cf. Tehillim 78:4), וחסדו לבני אדם ונפלאותיו, "His kindness and His wonders to mankind" (cf. Tehillim 107:8), that you saw in the delay of your journey, etc. May it be His will that this מזמור לתודה, "Psalm of Thanksgiving" (Tehillim 100), draw down illumination upon the whole year. The matters of Mizmor LeTodah are explained in the Chassidic discourses of the Alter Rebbe and the Mitteler Rebbe, and it is proper that you study them with due depth, as it is written: ונשלמה פרים שפתינו, "and let our lips pay for bullocks" (Hoshea 14:3).
Surely you took part in the farbrengen of Anash during the days of goodwill and joy of the month of Tishrei — the general month of the whole year, the month that is "sated" with all good.
