To the Esteemed Chassid, G-d-fearing, diligent in Torah study and communal activities, whose work is heavenly, Rabbi Moshe HaKohen, may he live and be well.[1]
Shalom U'vracha (Peace and Blessings)!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 13th of the month of mercy (Elul).
Regarding your inquiry about your housing situation, I am certain that my esteemed assistant, the G-d-fearing chassid, diligent in Torah study and communal activities, a man of many deeds and good qualities, Rabbi Chayim Mordechai Isaac Chadakov, may he live and be well, has already conveyed my opinion on time. You should consult with three of your friends from Anash, who are familiar with the specific conditions of your local area, regarding the various neighborhoods in Chicago, etc., and they will advise you. May it be Hashem's will that He grants them the proper insight on how to guide you.
Enclosed is the Likkutei Elul, which you should surely share with the public. The merit of the many will depend on you.
With blessings for good health and success in your communal work for the sake of Heaven. See the words of the Alter Rebbe in his Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim, Section Bachaim (in life),[2] Paragraph 4, that even one who is involved in saving another’s property alone, and certainly one who can use his influence in the synagogue to support and expand the study of the revealed Torah and Chassidus, as well as charitable endeavors, is engaged in a matter of utmost spiritual and internal significance.
As we approach the new year, which will be for good and blessing for us and all of Israel, I hereby express my blessing to you and all that is yours: a blessing for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually, inscribed and sealed for good.
With blessings,
M. Schneerson
P.S. I have now received your letter from the 20th of Elul. Regarding what you wrote about your health—since according to all the doctors, it does not require attention until after the receipt of the Kesiva V’Chasima Tova, for now, set aside any concern about the matter.
Enclosed is the receipt for the first donation. Please inform me to which fund the other donations mentioned in your letter are designated.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that when facing important decisions like choosing where to live, one should seek advice from trusted local friends who know the circumstances well. He also highlights using one's influence for communal good as a deeply meaningful spiritual act.
