Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the beginning of Iyar and the one before it. Thank you for the good news about the farbrengen, and most importantly about the awakening among those who participated regarding the days after the farbrengen. Certainly, even afterward, all those who are able are making sure that this inspiration is brought into actual practice even on weekdays.
You wrote that Bnei Ma'arava never saw a Rebbe in their lives, and even during the week when my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, stayed there it was only in a makif (encompassing) manner. However, a makif eventually enters into pnimiyus (innerness), and one way this happens (from above downward) is by drawing down an even higher makif; or (from below upward) by striving to internalize the makif through avodah (service). Both approaches are in the hands of our elder chassidim in Jerusalem: by reviewing Chassidus discourses before them—since the Rebbe’s Torah is his inner essence—and by guiding them in his conduct as he taught us for daily life…
With blessings for good news in all of the above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that inspiration from a farbrengen must be translated into practical action throughout daily life. Elders should help internalize these teachings by sharing Chassidus and modeling conduct inspired by the Rebbe’s example.
