In response to your letter from the 9th of Iyar, it is a great wonder that although I frequently remind Anash that Torah and mitzvos are matters of connection to G‑d and His Torah, and that one's spiritual state determines one's material state, even our temimim and rabbis write to me about every matter but do not mention the above at all—not even in general terms or by hint. It is understood that my intention is not for them to boast in their letters, "See what I have accomplished," but rather to mention what is being done in this regard within their environment, all the more so within their own homes. There is no element of pride here, etc., and there is no need to elaborate on such a simple matter. Regarding the temimim (students), this applies even more so; for even about what is happening in yeshivah they do not mention anything, even though a new study term has just begun.

May it be G‑d's will that, according to the saying of my father-in-law the Rebbe which he heard from elder chassidim—that one must rise up as an entirely different person—so too in this matter things should change completely from one extreme to the other...
