Shalom u'Vrachah!
... Regarding what you wrote about the questions being asked of you concerning the details of customs, etc. ...
As for the questions, it is well known from the Zohar (quoted in Igeres HaKodesh) that every question comes from the 'other side', and this is in addition to the well-known saying that a habitual questioner... (as brought in the reference books from Shu"t Chavas Yair, which I do not have at hand now).
In our case, we have clearly seen that those who ask such questions do so after they have already decided to reveal their dissatisfaction (or even worse), and they look for something to hang it on. And if you answer one detail, they will be bothered to find another 'fault' and another excuse (as is explained that 'excuse' means 'not true').
When it is firmly established among Anash, especially those who have influence in their surroundings, that Lubavitch is good—and this is held with strength—at least as strong as the dissatisfaction of those mentioned above—even a little light pushes away much darkness. But when one sees weakness and misplaced humility among Anash, this causes an inflation and boosting of spirit among the opponents...
With blessing for good news in all the above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that persistent questioning about customs often reflects underlying dissatisfaction or opposition rather than genuine inquiry. He urges confidence and strength within Lubavitch circles, emphasizing that steadfast positivity dispels negativity.
