Regarding what you wrote about how to conduct yourself concerning walking alone at night, etc.: Even though I am certain that Hashem, the Guardian of Israel, will protect each and every one of them—as I have written in my previous letter—and especially since my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden (may his merit protect us), who until now stood and served still does so now and arouses abundant mercy for all those mentioned above—nevertheless, one should not make oneself an exception to the rule but should act as others among Anash do in this regard. Certainly it is possible to arrange things so that this practice will not interfere with your holy work...
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that even with faith in Hashem's protection and the Rebbe's prayers, one must follow communal safety practices such as not walking alone at night. Trust in G‑d does not replace prudent behavior.
