זיכער איז איבעריג צו אויפמערקזאם מאכען אייך, אז מען דארף אויך אפשיידען צדקה פון דעם ריוח, מעשר (10), און ווי עס איז באוואוסט דארפמען ניט מדקדק זיין אין צדקה, און במילא דארף עס זיין עטוואס מער ווי די צעהן פראצענט, און דאס בריינגט אויך א תוספת ברכה אין דעם עשר בשביל שתתעשר.
געוויס האט איר איינטייל גענומען אין דער התועדות פון יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, און וועט אויך באטייליגען זיך אין דער התועדות פון יום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע דעם קומענדען יו"ד שבט הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, און השי"ת זאל אייך אלעמען מצליח זיין.

I received your note with the enclosed donation, which was forwarded to the Lishkas Chashain, the hidden fund. This means that it helps people and causes for whom it is not fitting to request help publicly. It is well known that what is hidden from the eye is protected from an unfavorable gaze.
So too, may this stand you in good stead: May Hashem grant you His blessings generously and also protect you from an unfavorable gaze. As we say, "Yevarechecha Hashem v'Yishmerecha" ("May Hashem bless you and guard you"), our Sages explain in the Midrash that the Holy One, blessed be He, not only gives the blessing but also guards it so that those who receive it will use it in a good and joyful manner.
It is surely unnecessary to remind you that one should also separate tzedakah from this profit—maaser (10%). As is well known, one should not be overly exacting with tzedakah; therefore, it should be somewhat more than ten percent. This also brings additional blessing as in "Aser bishvil shetisasher" ("Tithe so that you may become wealthy").
Surely you participated in the farbrengen of Yud-Tes Kislev, and you will also participate in the farbrengen of the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden, this coming Yud Shevat for good for us and all Israel. May Hashem grant you all success.

Giving charity discreetly brings special protection and abundant blessings. The Rebbe encourages giving generously beyond the minimum requirement and participating in chassidic gatherings for continued spiritual growth and success.
