במענה על מכתבו מח"י כסלו, בשאלתו אם ימשיך בלימודו בצרפת כיון שמחשבות מבלבלות אותו וכן יצרו.
הנה כבר כתבתי כמה פעמים שפסקו רז"ל לפום גמלא שיחנא, ואדרבה לימוד התורה היא עצה לזה. ובהנוגע לאנשים פרטים שאפשר ישנם ענינים צדדיים שצריכים לשנות מקומם. הנה בכגון דא עליו ובכלל על תלמידי ישיבה להציע מצבם לפני הראש ישיבה והמשפיע הרוחני שבהישיבה, שכיון שההשגחה פרטית סידרה שמקבלים מהם השפעה בתורה על ידם יוכלו גם כן לקבל הוראה בעניניהם הפרטים, וככה יעשה וישמע לההוראות שיקבל וטוב יהי' לו.

In response to your letter from the 18th of Kislev, in which you ask whether to continue your studies in France since distracting thoughts and your inclination disturb you: I have already written several times that our Sages ruled "Lefum gamla shechana" (the load is according to the camel's strength), and on the contrary, Torah study itself is advice for this.
Regarding individuals who may have side issues requiring them to change their place: in such cases, one should—and in general all yeshiva students should—present their situation to the head of the yeshiva and the spiritual mentor at the yeshiva. Since Divine Providence arranged for you to receive influence in Torah from them, you can also receive guidance from them regarding your personal matters. Do so and listen to the instructions you receive, and it will be good for you.

The Rebbe teaches that Torah study is itself a remedy for inner struggles. When facing personal challenges or doubts about one's place of study, seek guidance from trusted mentors and follow their direction for success.
