After the interruption it was pleasant to receive your letter of 3 Cheshvan, in which you write, though extremely briefly, of the activities among the soldiers in the past weeks, and surely in the future you will write in more detail.

(Perhaps there is room to say, after your lectures, that those who wish may enter into correspondence with here to clarify some question that confuses them, etc. Of course one must also make clear on the spot (warn) that there is no room in this for a fund-raising appeal, etc. It is also understood that all this must be done on your own initiative, and not as a mission from here; say only that you know of several people who act in this way, and although at times the reply is delayed, they receive the reply. Likewise) if you find it right, give a Tanya to some who excel in some matter of Judaism, etc., among the soldiers, in addition to giving Tanyas in the camp to the clubs or the library of the soldiers, if there are such facilities in a suitable place.

It is surprising that you mention nothing about the health of your wife, may she live; surely all is well and peaceful.
