איך וויל אייך דערמיט אויפמערקזאם מאכען אז מען דארף געדיינקען השם יתברך ניט נאר ווען עס פאסירט חס ושלום א ניט גוטע פאסירונג, נאר אין א פיל גרעסערע מאס ווען השם יתברך פארהיט אז עס זאל ניט פאסירען, [אדער] ווען די פאסירונג גייט אדורך בשלום, און בפרט יעצט גייענדיק צו א נייעם יאר וואס יעדערער בעט און האפט אז השם יתברך זאל עם געבען נייע כחות און נייע קוועלען פאר פרנסה, דארפמען זיך ניט שרעקען און אויך אנהויבן פירען א נייעם סדר פון לעבען לויט די אנווייזונגען פון תורתנו הק' וואס דורך דעם בריינגט מען פאר זיך און פאר דער גאנצער פאמיליע א בעסערונג אין פרנסה און געזונט און אמת'ן גליק און נחת פון קינדער, און השם יתברך זאל אייך העלפען צו קענען אנזאגען גוטע בשורות אין דעם וואס פריער.

Upon receiving a letter from your son Mr... sh"y, he also wrote to me about the incident that happened to your older son Mr... sh"y. I will mention him at the holy resting place of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe zatzal for a speedy recovery, and I hope that when you receive good news about this, you will inform me. You may write to me in whichever language is more comfortable for you; since I spent several years in Paris, I also read French.
I want to draw your attention to the fact that one must remember Hashem Yisbarach not only when, G‑d forbid, something negative occurs, but even more so when Hashem Yisbarach prevents such things from happening or when an incident passes peacefully. Especially now as we approach a new year when everyone asks and hopes that Hashem Yisbarach will grant them new strengths and new sources for livelihood, one should not be afraid but also begin living according to the instructions of our holy Torah. Through this, one brings improvement in livelihood, health, true happiness, and nachas from children for oneself and the entire family. May Hashem Yisbarach help you to be able to share good news about this soon.
