... נראה ממכתבו, שסדר קבוע אצלו להתחיל התפלה בש"ק בוקר - בחצות היום! ולא נ"ל כלל סדר כזה (אף שבודאי אומר ק"ש לפני זה וכן שמע ברכו וכו'). ושאני אם מתחילים במוקדם ומאריכים בתפלה. ומה טוב להתחיל עם הצבור לערך, ומב"ש ואילך לאחר גמר תפלת הצבור.

... It appears from your letter that you have a fixed practice to begin Shabbos morning davening at midday! I do not agree at all with such an order (even though you certainly recite Shema before this and also hear Barechu, etc.). It is different if one begins earlier and then extends the davening. It is best to begin with the congregation approximately, and from Baruch She'amar onward after the congregation has finished their davening.
