Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter in which you write about your health situation and especially regarding your eye, surely you will continue to follow the doctors' instructions in this matter and may the Holy One send His word and heal you.
Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you of our sages' statement that carefulness in Kiddush and Havdalah adds particularly regarding a person's eyesight. Likewise, increasing the study of Chassidus on Shabbos—by way of a play on words, it can be said that this is hinted at in our sages' saying that 'a large stride takes away...' (referring to eyesight), for eliminating coarseness and transforming it comes through immersion in the waters of Chassidus—immersion (tevillah) shares its letters with self-nullification (bittul).
As you requested, I will mention your wife and children when I am at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for all their needs...
With blessings for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages combining medical care with spiritual practices—carefulness in Kiddush and Havdalah, increased study of Chassidus on Shabbos—and assures prayer for the family’s well-being at the Ohel.
