במענה על הודעתו אשר ביום כ"ט אדר א' שמרבין בשמחה הוא ערב ר"ח אדר שני שמרבין בשמחה מתחיל באפיית המצות.
הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שיקוים בו ושמרתם את המצות וכדרשת רז"ל שבמילא תומשך ג"כ הצלחה בגשמיות שתביא פרנסה בהרחבה. וכשם שברוחניות הרי ממשיכים מזה על כל השנה כולה. הרי יהי' זה ג"כ התחלה טובה לפרנסה כדבעי ג"כ על כל השנה כולה.
ומלחם עוני יבוא ללחם פנג[2]. כפשוטו וכפירושו בתורת הדא"ח (עיין זהר ח"א מז, ב. רמו, א. לקו"ת עקב טז, א[3]).

In response to your message that on the 29th of Adar I, when joy is increased, it is the eve of Rosh Chodesh Adar II—when joy is increased—you are beginning the baking of matzah. May it be the will of Hashem that "u'shmartem et ha'matzot" (you shall guard the matzot) be fulfilled in you, and as our Sages interpret, this will naturally bring success in material matters that will lead to ample livelihood. Just as in spiritual matters this draws down blessing for the entire year, so too may this be a good beginning for proper livelihood throughout the whole year. And from lechem oni (poor man's bread) may it become lechem paneg (rich bread), both literally and as explained in Chassidus (see Zohar I, 47b; 240a; Likkutei Torah Eikev 16a).
